James Templeton used to work for the Danielson's until one day it was discovered that he had stolen several valuable pieces from the family's private collection.  Mr. Danielson gave his full attention once it was revealed that James had sold one of the antiques for a handful of silver. Mr. Danielson, alongside several ranch hands with rifles, ran James off of his property but never recovered the antiques. To this day, these pieces have never been found.  Rumors persist that James hid his loot in the hills of the Boney Mountain Wilderness before making his escape. Searchers still explore these hills today, looking for the lost treasure of Boney Mountain.

Follow the clues and have fun exploring the great expanse of the Boney Mountain State Wilderness. Boney Mountain is part of the Point Mugu State Park in the Santa Monica mountains. Miles and miles of well maintained trails and beautiful scenery. The range lies between Thousand Oaks and Malibu along the pacific coast near Los Angeles. Generally 10-15 degrees cooler than the valley, Point Mugu is a great place for a day trip to explore one of the more expansive urban wilderness areas in the Los Angeles area.
